David M. Feinerman, DMD, MD
Dr. Feinerman is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has been practicing oral surgery since 1995. Originally from Queens, NY, he moved to south Florida in 1997 and opened Boynton Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant Center, PA. A summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY), he received his DMD (cum laude) from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and his MD degree from The University of Connecticut. Following completion of a one year General Surgery and four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship and residency at The University of Connecticut he went on to do a one year hospital based maxillofacial surgery fellowship at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. During this time he received post-graduate training in advanced aspects of, oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental implantology, head and neck oncologic surgery, maxillofacial reconstruction, and cosmetic facial surgery. From 1995 – 1997, David was an associate with Connecticut Maxillofacial Surgeons, LLC in Hartford, CT. as well as a clinical instructor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Feinerman is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He is also the co-chairman of the Oral Implantology course at the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic. He lectures both locally and at the national American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery conferences. He has published several articles in peer reviewed journals on various oral surgery topics . He is currently a reviewer for several journals, including the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine, Oral Radiology and Endodontology Journal. Dr. Feinerman has served on the South Palm Beach County Dental Association Board for the past 6 years. Dr. Feinerman is currently on staff at Delray Medical Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons,the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Atlantic Coast Dental Association, South Palm Beach County Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, the International Team of Implantology, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Robert S. Schaedel, DMD, MD
Robert Schaedel, DMD, MD is a dual degree, board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has been practicing since 1996. Originally from Massapequa, New York and West Simsbury, Connecticut, Dr. Schaedel is relocating to Florida after sixteen years of private practice in Southern Maine. His move to Florida is prompted by a great school match for the unique educational needs of both his children, as well as his desire to be closer to family and friends.
Dr. Schaedel received his BS in Biology from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He received his MD and DMD from the University of Connecticut. Following completion of a one year general surgery residency and a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Connecticut, Dr. Schaedel briefly practiced in Massachusetts, before entering and further developing a thriving private practice in Portland, Maine. In addition to private practice, for many years Dr. Schaedel was the Chief, Division of Oral Surgery and Dentistry at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine. He is the past President of both the Greater Portland Dental Society as well as the York County Dental Society. He is the past President and member of the Anesthesia Committee for the Maine State Board of Dental Examiners and is an active staff member at Mercy Hospital, Maine Medical Center and Southern Maine Medical Center. He was a member of the Maine Cleft lip and Palate Team. Rob was an instructor of Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He volunteered at the Dental Wellness Center in Biddeford, Maine and also volunteered on various overseas surgical trips to address cleft lip and palate deformities.
Dr. Schaedel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Member of the American Dental Association, Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International, Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration, and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Since joining the practice, Dr. Schaedel has joined the Staff at Delray Medical Center where he participates on facial trauma call. He is active in local, state, national and international societies and continuing education clubs.
Dr. Derek T. King
Dr. King is a Board Eligible Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has recently completed his training at Vanderbilt University. Originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Dr. King graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and served as Chief Resident.
Dr. King will obtain medical staff privileges at Delray Medical Center where he will also take facial trauma call. He provides a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with emphasis on dentoalveolar surgery, implant dentistry, wisdom tooth removal, pathology, corrective jaw surgery, and trauma to the facial skeleton. He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Dr. King plans to be an active member of organized dentistry and medicine on both the local and national level. He is currently seeking membership in multiple organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Atlantic Coast District Dental Association, and the South Palm Beach County Dental Association.
Outside the office Derek will remain dedicated to community service and will continue medical/dental mission trips to Haiti and South America. We are very excited to have him join our practice.
